I’ve noticed that even when Plexamp was the last active player in iOS, and a track has been playing, that the initial screen for Plexamp Carplay often has no ‘Now Playing’ button. This means there’s no way to resume playback except by picking up the mobile phone (which is illegal in my region) and resuming playback. If I navigate to the same track on Plexamp CarPlay it starts playback from the beginning. It doesn’t resume.
By comparison, even if it wasn’t the most recent playback app “Music” lets you resume playback on its initial CarPlay screen when you tap the Play icon.
