I watched a movie in the theater a few days ago. After it was finished I marked it as watched in Discover and added a star rating via the mobile app.
Today I decided to add a review. That caused my watched date to move to today’s date.
Using the web interface I was able to move it back to the correct date.
I’d like the mobile app to add a watched date field to the rating screen so it can be adjusted as needed. Add or adjusting a previous entry should not adjust the watch date automatically.
- Open your profile and long-press an item from the watch history.
- Select the „Edit Watched Date“ option
This option was added with version 2025.13.0 of the mobile apps.
Thank you. I missed that. I do still think it would be helpful if the attached screen had a date field, and when adding or updating something on a previous activity log it wouldn’t move the watch date up to the current date.
I don’t think it would be very uncommon for someone to mark a movie as watched and come back later to add more detail and thoughts.
Maybe a mark as watched action could just bring up this screen by default?
I’ve just played around with those options.
It’s true that updating a rating or review will mark that record with a new date (e.g. „rated 5 seconds ago“). It won’t change the watched date in the activity itself.
Though that’s only true for the record in your activities. Weirdly, the watched record on your profile / Discover applies the edit to the date the item was watched.
Let me pass this on.
