Also, I would like to be able to switch between different versions while playback on Android. I have a Pixel 9a, which means my client is recent, I guess. IIRC, we can switch between different versions on other client like Web or Playstation 4 Pro. (I might be wrong on the specific clients, but I’m prettty sure that such feature is available for other clients.)
You can pick to play a specific version in the android app…
I meant “while playback”; while I’m watching.
I’m saying this because I’m having some difficulties these days with versions switching between each other without me knowing it.
I’m afraid to explain any further, because it would hijack this thread.
Adding such feature would help me to troubleshoot, I guess. It would also make “downgrading” from UHD Blu-ray to regular Blu-Ray easier whenever the available bandwidth decreases.
Pretty sure such a feature is not available on any client. You can adjust the quality which will trigger transcoding of the file you’re streaming, but it won’t switch playback to a different file.
If you’re after a feature like that then you should probably start a new thread because that’s a completely different thing to what is in this ‘feature suggestion’.
I moved this into its own thread. You seem to be looking for something different (switch version during playback vs. version selection/popup on start of video)
So… I recently tried Plezy and discovered that one can switch between different versions during playback. That’s neat, even though that’s not a priority. ![]()
