When searching for a title if you include the “year” in the search query nothing will be found.
Example:
My Movie 2022 or My Movie (2022)
It would be helpful to be able to add the “year” to the search query of a title specific instead of having to sort through all the final search results. Please consider.
There’s an existing suggestion discussing options to allow some advanced filtering of search results by e.g. including references to year, genre, rating in the search term (like „My Movie year:2022“).
When re-reading your suggestion, I consider it’s slightly different as you want Plex to include searching for the year (no matter if there’s a special tag in the search term)?!
Correct, I have several titles that cover many years, if I do a search with just the “title name” I have a flood of search results that have to be visually sorted through, whereas if I could include the year as part of the search query in the form of:
“My Movie 2022” or “My Movie (2022)”, then the query yield would be more specific.
