Plexamp feature request: Search for release year

I’d love to be able in the search tab to search for a release year.
Useful e.g. when you want to search for all albums released in your year of birth :wink:
I’m aware that this can be done be filtering album view but search is so much quicker. Thanks!

Have you considered using the filters available in the library tab?

  1. open Library Tab > Albums
  2. click the filter icon (3 horizontal lines forming a triangle → most left action in the action bar)
  3. filter by Album > Release Year = [a year of your choice] → this will show you how many albums match that filter
  4. return to the Album view to see the Albums matching your release year

Sounds complicated but it’s just a few very quick clicks once you know where to look :wink:

Yes I have :wink:

But entering "1970: in search is soooooo much faster.
Thanks for giving this suggestion another thought.
