Would be nice if I could manually disable the transcoder for playback on devices that fail to use it properly.

There’s an existing feature suggestion asking for an option to disable transcoding by device types.
My plex machine isnt capable of handling multiple transcodes and has no expansion options for adding hardware transcoding.
Of the people I have on there, none of them actually need to transcode on their TVs/consoles, their devices are capable and they arent subject to transfer limits but their players are configured to do it anyway by default. This issue is even worse when you have media thats x265 and it ends up getting transcoded to something that litterally eats more bandwidth and gives them…
