Allowing access to one movie within a restricted rating

Hi

I have my daughters account restriced by rating. However there is one movie, which is classed as being outside of her approved rating, that I’m happy for her to watch.

Is there a way to allow her to watch that video, but restrict all others of that rating? The issue is that here, in the UK, our rating system is slightly more granular than the US one supported by Plex. As a result some videos fall within the R rating which she would otherwise be able to watch in the UK system.

Any ideas?

Simply edit the movie in question and change its rating.

And what about if I have other childern to whom I don’t want to give access to that video, but who may see it if I change the rating down a notch?

If I were to Tag the movie, is there a way to show movies based on a rating but always include tags of “ALLOW” or something?

How does the Restrictions page look like for this user?
Are you using a “restrictions profile” (required for the video-on-demand service of Plex) or custom permissions?

If you have “Movies & TV on Plex” disabled for your managed users on https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/online-media-sources
you can switch the restriction profile to ‘None’.
Which then allows you to use a combination of age ‘ratings’ and ‘labels’ to grant access.
