Manually approve movies normally restricted for Kids

Curious if this is possible…

I current have 2 users setup with my Plex account. One for me and my wife (that is passcode protected) and one for my kids. The one for my kids was pretty easy to setup and restricts Movies to just those with a G and PG rating.

My question is can I manually add / “approve” specfic movies for the kids to view, even if they’re say PG-13? As we all know, not all PG-13 movies are created equal. And I want the default to be that they are restricted.

But there are some that I feel as a parent are OK for my 9 year old to watch (like some of the Marvel Super Hero stuff). And I’d like to be able to manually grant access to those under the kids user account.

Is this possible? Thanks in advance for anyone’s help…

You as the admin can easily edit those movies and give them a lower age Rating.

You can also create a label and title it whatever you want, I created one called “Family-Friendly”. You can then go into the specific movies and add that label to the movie under the Sharing section.
You can add that label to the Users Restrictions, for each library you can add that label.
That label allows that movie or show you assign with the label to be an exception to the rules you have set up for the account.
I found that in a different thread a few weeks ago, I cannot find it so I cannot link to it. I do not take credit for discovering this.
