I can appreciate that older SMART TVs that use an unsupported TLS version are seen by PLEX as being a security risk and they will no longer allow user account authentication from these TVS. However if you are using PLEX locally (within your own network) can’t PLEX offer an option on the PLEX server to “Allow unauthenticated connections on home network” . This won’t help people connecting remotely from unsupported TVs but will help the vast majority of people use PLEX locally. When using PLEX at home to view video on a local server, the stream doesn’t go through PLEX.TV, it streams directly from the local server to the local TV, unlike remote connections to the server which do stream through PLEX.TV. I’m sure having the option I described above would let 99.9 of us users that have lost PLEX on our SMART TV happy. At the moment we can’t use PLEX at home purely because we can no longer authenticate the user account via PLEX.TV
From Plex Web go to the settings page then under the Settings section in the left panel click Network. Click the Show Advanced button at the top of the Network Settings panel on the right and then look for, “List of IP addresses and networks that are allowed without auth” and that should be what you want.

Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately that doesn’t make any difference to the smart TV apps in question, such as Panasonic.
Please vote for this feature suggestion, as it is needed.
Does not sense if it’s not supported.
Thinking this through a bit further my suggestion may not a solution. The SMART TV app is trying to authenticate the user on the PLEX servers, that fails from the TV apps using older versions of TLS so the app progresses no further. What is needed is the option in the TV app to “Not authenticate for home connections”, since PLEX no longer support these older SMART TV apps I doubt they’ll do one last update for them with this fix, or would they?
