Alphabet picker disappeared on Samsung tv

I’m using the 4.5.1 version of the plex app on my Samsung, and I have the alphabet picker available.

Maybe it has something to do with the Tizen version?

Thanks, Joezeph. Good to see additional info to help narrow down the problem. I have Tizen 4.0 (and the Plex app 4.5.1) and DO have the problem, but you have Tizen 3.0 (and the Plex app 4.5.1) and do NOT have the problem.

Problem is fixet now v 4.15.2 is out now on tizen 4.0 tv’s

You’re right! I got the update now (4.15.2), and the alphabet picker is there. (I still have the other problem, but this one is fixed).

Did this issue come back in the latest 4.25.2 version because I just updated and now the picker is missing for me?

You’re not alone. My alphabet list disappeared tonight as well.

My alphabet picker is still there, but my managed user account (with restricted content ratings) still doesn’t see anything in the movies library. I’m now on:

Samsung TV app: 4.25.2
Tizen: 4.0

Anyone from Plex able to confirm this as an issue or indicate what else you might need to investigate?
I have confirmed that I don’t have this issue on any other player that I use, mainly web and android, and just seems to be affecting Samsung since the latest update.

After update plex server to latest version PlexMediaServer-1.18.7.2457 alphabet work fine!!!

The same problem here. Samsung smart TV suddenly the alphabet picker doesn’t exist. Forced to use the TV app on my server now and found, if I click on “ALL” it returns and remains. However, nothing seems to work on the TV. All in all the interface is suboptimal on a desktop but very unfortunate on the TV with thousands of movies. Hoping to see it fixed! :slight_smile:

  3. Be sure to include BOTH the PMS version and Plex app version
