Personally i combine the two .
No, No, No, you missed the point.
Liquor is Quicker. ![]()
But wine is fine.
“Beer is living proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.” Benjamin Franklin
We have a couple of winery around us. Ironically when they have a bad batch/year they will give us the “low wines” to distill. Everything coming out of the still is clear high proof liquor regardless of where it started or what it tasted like.
What does suck is the federal taxes to move the alcohol off promises which is essentially a “double tax”. Same with moving a barrel off whiskey of premises to a warehouse. When it comes to “taxes” on alcohol the fed gets you coming and going!
Oklahoma used to have liquor laws where wine and 6-point beer could only be sold in liquor stores—which were not open on Sundays or past 9 o’clock; liquor stores could not sell bottle openers/corkscrews, and could not use refrigeration; and though refrigerated beer was available at convenience stores and grocery stores, the alcohol content was only 3.2.
However, Oklahoma very recently has laxed our liquor laws for wine and 6-point beer, so now I can buy wine and 6-point Shiner Bock from Walmart.
On topic, I really do hope Emby implements proper audiobook resume soon. Currently I use both Emby and Plex. …or rather my wife uses both Emby and Plex. I tire of Plex crashing on my phone.
In the works.
I know. I just mean to emphasize that I hope it happens soon. I’m kind of impatient for it. Probably because I can start seeing light at the end of that tunnel.
You know, I know the whole “Plex doesn’t listen to its users” complaint has been going on for several years, but I think when it really started for me was when Plex screwed up the Web client by moving backgrounds to being used as banners and used super-blurry posters as backgrounds. The only fix for that was/is to use Stylus/Stylish. A lot of us complained about that, but they didn’t seem to care.
Never understood the Plex aversion to background images and posters, and the idea the blur should be the default (or only) view on all apps. The server downloads all of the images, but we can never see them without some sort of customization or configuring. The cropped background image in Plex web really annoys me - why even give us the option to view it if that’s how it’s going to be displayed?
Wow, thanks so much for sharing, and best wishes for a smooth process and speedy recovery!
@elan here’s a perfect example of why people are frustrated with Plex and the disconnect between the Plex team and the users.
I reported this issue a few days back, not one comment from a member of staff. If you guys aren’t going to monitor the forums or respond to threads and bug reports then what is the point of the forums existing?
I do miss seeing all of the artwork.
I understand that, but you have to understand that we’re “a bit” outnumbered, and don’t have the resources to jump on every single issue posted.
This is new thread, nobody else has confirmed seeing the issue (a valuable measure of gauging impact), and the “severity” would be considered fairly low compared to crashes/playback issues.
Just trying to be honest and set expectations…
@elan if crashes are more important could you please check out the below thread from the same beta forums that would be kindly appreciated.
[Bug 7.9.0.8224] Connection has been lost errors - #4 by Mattgob86
I have spent the time to send logs but have no idea if they have been looked at or helpful in finding the problem.
To add: This is another post with alot of people seeing this error.
.
It would be great to know if sending logs have helped in anyway.
At this point I have no idea if they have been looked at.
Thanks
Speaking as a developer myself, these are the exact type of issues that people become apathetic about, they see the issue, it’s not a real show stopper and they just ignore it and use it pl. I’ve been ignoring it myself for weeks, but eventually decided to report it.
I recently had a conversation with one of my team who was having an issue with a piece of hardware, when he explained the issue he was having I said that it was a hardware issue and that one of the chips hadn’t been correctly programmed, he had just got used to the issue, decided it was a normal behaviour and just lived with it. It was a very abnormal behaviour and meant that something wasn’t working correctly on those units.
I get you don’t have the resources and have to prioritise, but what’s going to happen here is that the because nobodies taken a look, it’s going to soon dissapear off the page and into a black hole forever. Every bug reported should be logged unless it categorically is known at the time that it’s not a bug or is expected behaviour.
I get you prioritise fixes to show stoppers, but if you have an issue like this sitting in a bug tracker for 6 months, 1 year that’s not great is it? How many people are simply living with bugs because they just know it works that way.
Hit the nail on the head here. This is exactly how I feel. I’ve much love for plex being a long term supporter (and recommend-er to others) but really what is the point in us reporting issues or feedback when nothing really appears to happen with it.
Personally, I’ve two issues reported in the past year and no one ever even acknowledged them! Both in the grand scheme of things not sev 1 critical failures but still honest feedback from a honest user.
If you look on the emby community forum page, they report back to the vast majority of queries and within days if not hours. They may not fix everything but at least their community know they are listening.
Nothing new in the west …
Plex doesn’t like processes and the result is at hand.
I think it says something when two roku update threads have been locked for a month now and yet are still at the very top of the list of “Top” threads.
is there a place that lists what bugs have been reported…
Bug tracking list that one could look at to see if an issue i’m having is known?
