Alternatives possible I can use so I will be able to have folder artwork?

I have looked and looked and not seemingly come across a solution with Plex to be able to use folder artwork(simply use folder.jpg as the folder icon when in that view mode). All I have found are bunches of people asking for the same feature. A feature that apparently goes on deaf ears with Plex.

So my question is has anyone found a work around, coded it themselves, etc etc. Or even capable to code it so it would work(a service I’d be willing to pay for)?

Or does anyone have a good suggestion as a Plex alternative I can use that would support folder view artwork and remote access?

Thank you for your time and suggestions. And shame on you Plex for not listening to all the people that have asked for this basic feature.

Which actually leaves two possibilities.

  1. No one has actually asked for it, they have simply discussed it (assuming no feature request already exists). So shame on them I guess!
  2. The feature request does already exists in which case what is the point of this duplicate request?
