I currently have Tmobile Home Internet which by now I have figured out they suffer from any sort of modem modifications, port forwarding, bridging, etc. Therefore, I am unfortunately under a Double-Nat. I could still connect to Plex Server, but it was indirect and unfortunately was rate-limited on speeds.
I decided to try out a few different VPN services tonight, port forwarding to the like. I found I could only make PureVPN service work once with a dedicated IP Address… but the speeds were god awful. My as well not have even been using it. After dicking around with these different vpn providers, came to the conclusion it just won’t work because of the damn tmobile CGNAT setup.
Fast forward… I removed all the VPN changes, went back to all my previous settings and plex will no longer connect to the server at all. I added a new movie, and it won’t even search the databases to fetch the metadata for it.
I have the latest PMS. I have cleared out the cache. I have restarted both my router and ISP modem. And still nothing. Just constantly spinning “connecting server…”.
So I am wondering if some how I blacklisted my device from Plex servers. Any help would be appreciated.
