Amazon Fire Stick 4K Plex player cannot choose episode "options"

But basically, this issue happens only on tv shows. Everything can be highlighted except for the area where the play/resume, play from start, mark as played/unplayed, and more (ellipses) buttons are. You can see in the video that I’m cycling between the up and down buttons in the remote to show you that the episode can be highlighted as expected but the buttons under it are never highlighted. It’s like the cursor is lost in limbo when I press down once (coming from the highlighted episode). If I press the down button twice, it does go to the cast section just fine.

I’ve tried resetting the fire stick to the factory default and reinstalling all apps (including Plex, of course) to no avail. I’ve tried switching between modern and classic layout and the same thing happens. I’ve never had this issue in the past but it started happening since a few months ago. I just didn’t have time to report it until now.
