Amazon Prime shows missing "where to watch" information

I’ve noticed that many recent episodes of shows on Amazon Prime video are missing the information for “where to watch”. These are generally recent episodes and it’s usually just the episode itself, but sometimes the season or show page is missing that as well. I can just go click into the prime video app to watch them, but the missing information means that if the show is in my watchlist, new episodes do not bubble up to the “continue watching” section on the recommended tab on my playlist, or in the “Shows available on your services”. Recent example of this are “Cross” and “Invincible”, two shows which are currently airing but new episode info isn’t in plex. It just says “There are no streaming services currently available for this title.” This only really seems to happen with Amazon Prime video.

Any ideas on how to fix catalog errors like this or report the missing information?

Is Prime still showing among the selectable streaming services here: https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/streaming-services
?

Hi, can I ask which country you’re based in? Thanks!

Yeah, prime is still in that list. It’s not that Plex thinks I don’t have prime video (it’s enabled as one of my services), it’s that plex thinks specific episodes aren’t available at all even though they are released.

I’m based in the United States. thanks!

I just tested on my setup. I have Prime selected as a service and in the US as well. If I look up Cross, its not that I’m missing episodes, Plex is telling me its not available on any streaming service.
I almost wonder if Prime changed an api or something. I have the same issue for a lot of Prime shows on my Tivo. I’ll search for a show that I know is on Prime and Tivo just says it can’t be found. I was attributing it more to the fact that Tivo has devolved into a wreck of its former self. Maybe there is a little more to it.

Oh interesting. I checked all the places I thought Plex might pull data from, but they don’t publish an API for that service so it’s mostly guessing. IMDb, justwatch, watchmode all seem to have the correct info, so i’m not sure where plex is getting its information. I agree this seems to only happen with prime video

We are looking into this. Not sure of cause yet.

I read on this forum a year or so ago, that Plex pulls a lot of that type of data from JustWatch.
