At first I loved the new Discover feature, but then realized it lacks the ability to recognize my subscribed channels within Amazon Prime Video. When specifying which streaming services you subscribe to, there should be selections such as: Amazon Prime/Acorn TV, Amazon Prime/Brit TV, etc.
Here’s what happens now: I have specified Amazon Prime as one of my streaming services. If I search via Plex, the Discover feature will find shows that are free within Amazon Prime, but not shows that are in my subscribed channels. That’s a deal breaker for me because about half the streaming shows I watch are in my subscribed Amazon channels.
Let’s say I search on the show “Candice Renoir.” Discover will show that it’s available on Acorn TV and that’s all. If I click on that selection, I’m told I need to subscribe to Acorn TV (which is true since I don’t subscribe directly to Acorn TV). But there is no selection for watching via the Amazon/Acorn TV channel. There should be a selection for that and if I click on it, I should be taken to that show within Amazon Prime just like I am for all the free Prime shows.
