I’m not sure if Plex even deals with video streams in such a way as to make extracting this information possible, but on the off chance that it does, wouldn’t it be amazing to allow Plex to interface with Philips Hue through their API in order to control ambient / coloured lighting in the viewing room in response to the on-screen output, rather like Philips Ambilight already does, but without having to buy a new TV…
