Since a few days, when I try to play any video file, my Linux Plex client, my Windows Plex client are failing with error : An unknown error occurred (4294967283) Error code: 4294967283

I first noticed the problem yesterday when I tried to connect a new Windows Plex Client.

Playback from https://app.plex.tv , Android player, iOS player are unaffected.

My docker container is accessible from a public URL : plex.x.y.z. and I have a wildcard *.x.y.z certificate that I am using for all my containers (behind a traefik reverse proxy)

The wildcard SSL certificate one was configured in :
Server → Settings → Network → Custom certificate location (& domain)
By removing those parameters and restarting the container the Plex client playback seems having been fixed.

I have been having this same issue for a few weeks now. If I use the windows client or a web client inside my home network it fails to transcode and will present with a myriad of errors, yours being one of them.

However, if I connect to plex using those clients through a vpn connection it will transcode without issue. I been through a few versions of the plex media server betas and public. None have yet resolved the issue. Smart TV and Android Clients etc will get a transcoded video without issue inside or outside the home network.

I have the same issue, but Plex Media Server is on an Nvidia Shield TV. I hope someone can help.
