I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the android app several times, but whenever I try to download a video/movie, the download gets to 50% and stops. I have plenty of space and I get tried several different videos but always the same result!!

I haven’t used sync in a while but if I recall the 50% stage means that the server has converted the file.
Is wifi turned on the device you are syncing to, rather than 3G/4G?
By default it will not transfer to your phone unless you are connected to wifi… This can be changed in the app settings though.
