Android app keep crashing

I have a Phillips android tv and my plex was working flawlessly but recent update has caused frequent crashes. This is really frustrating as i have updated server, android os, app and try out all streaming settings few times. It usually occurs in beginning of video. If it starts playing then it works flawlessly.

I enjoyed plex for some time now and bought plex pass. This started happening after i got my plex pass. So not sure if thats the factor. I have my tv hard wired, powerful plex server and gigabit internet, so thats not the issue as well. I also see tv os lagging when this app crashes.

Version 8.12.x is buggy and has been removed from the play store. You’ll want to uninstall the app, then do a full reboot (unplug TV), then go back to the play store and reinstall. It should be Version 8.11.x now.

The version now in the play store is also buggy.

I uninstalled and restarted chromecast 2020 (android tv 10), after which I installed again.

Now, hdr hevc tracks do play, but hdr is messed up in the menu when I quit the hdr movie.

All colors do mismatch.

Hope this gets resolved soon.
