After recent update when i try to watch video on plex, i get problem where video control stays on the screen all the time. When i don’t get video control on, i noticed that it crashes whole plex app. I tried to capture both scenarios. Hope this helps and get it resolved right away.

Think I’m having the same issue. My app has just updated to 9.29.0 and I now can’t watch any 4K content. App just closes and reopens after around 2-3 seconds of playback. I’m using an NVIDIA Shield Pro 2019. Movies I was watching earlier today that worked fine, now also don’t work. Issues all started with the update.
Having the exact same issue on both of my shield. Weird thing about it, that it playback TV episode no problem. But, Movie files, it just closes after a few seconds.
I can’t play ANY movies on my Google Pixel 7 Pro or nVidia Shield Pro - movie starts then the app restarts after a few seconds. TV Shows are fine.
Works fine on my Firestick running the same client version. Works fine via a browser and on the PS5 and Xbox Series X.
Had the same issues with 9.29 on Sony Android TV Android 9 and Google Pixel 6a Android 13. Left the Beta Program on the Play Store and installed 9.28 on both devices, now works flawlessly again.
FYI some movies still worked but I couldn’t figure out the similarities or what caused the crash in the first place. Really weird.
The weird part is that on the Play store, it says I am a beta tester, but there’s no option to leave it.
If I go to the page on Plex’s site, the button “become a tester” is clickable.
The link to download the public release from the Google Play Store says it isn’t compatible with my device…
Weird.
*** Edit - I can leave it if I use a browser to go to the Play Store - uninstalled the beta and put the other one on and it is fine ***
