Hey everyone - I currently have an iPad Mini (5th gen) and the Plex app runs extremely smooth on it. Looking at possibly getting a Samsung S7 and wondering how the Android app compares nowadays.
I’ve had Android phones/tablets in the past and it always seemed that the IOS app was a lot better?
I haven’t tried the app on iPad, but I have the tab S7 FE and an iPhone. I think Plex on Android tablet is pretty bad. It looks like it’s just the mobile version blown up. e.g. the thumbnails are way too low resolution and there’s loads of wasted real estate.
But I have had no issues with playback and stability. Which is the main concern 
I am really happy with the tablet, so don’t let Plex stop you if you want it
I did purchase a Tab S7 and when comparing to my iPad Mini it’s just night and day difference. The apps/experience/etc. are just so much more polished on the iPad (including Plex).
Ended up returning the Tab and upgrade to a Mini 6th edition lol.
