Android auto has no access to full library, and doesn't resume sessions

Not sure if this is a bug in the Plex app or what, but the only thing I can see from Android Auto is Playlists and Recently Added. There’s no access to the library, so I can’t, say, pick an artist or album to play. The official docs suggest there’s a top left navigation to get at the library, but there isn’t with Android Auto on my Pixel 8.

On top of that, Plex entirely forgets about android auto sessions. If i run into a store and come back out, I have to go back into plex and go find music, there’s no way to resume what I was listening to.

Wondering if there’s some settings I’m missing somewhere? Maybe the server needs to be configured to support resuming sessions? This hasn’t been the case with the player itself on my phone though.

I am having the exact same problem, but I can see the music playlists I have setup. There are 2 MY Music options in Plex on Android Auto, the first one shows me nothing, the second one allows me to see what was recently added but no library.

This is the same on a pixel 7 pro and pixel 8 pro on BMW 118i and Hyundai Ioniq 5 cars using wired and wireless Android Auto.
