If I am using Plex in my car (Audi) via Android Auto, the only options I have are “Playlists”, “Recently Played” and “Recently Added” - there is no option to select the rest of my library (eg by Artist). This has been the case for many months so I stopped using Plex it as I couldn’t access most of my music (I could play everything by using the phone direct), but I would like to start again. I have tried a different phone, a different user account, and a different server, but still the same problem in every case. My Plex App, server, and Android Auto on the phone have been updated, and reset. Any ideas ? Thanks.

I have exactly the same problem
Ive tried everything with no success - maybe its the car firmware ??? I have found a sort of solution - that it seems to work almost flawlessly using Plexamp which is also available on Android Auto, and can use the same library etc. As I only want music in the car, this seems to be a suitable solution (Plexamp is only music - not TV or Films etc) - although it would be nice to know why the core app Plex wouldnt work ???
That is not intentional afaik. I’ve made a bug report for it.
Same here and many many others for years I see. I finally got android auto and was very disappointed to find this lack of basic functionality. I paid to unlock the app for this sort of service. The fact that Plex has released PlexAmp, a standalone app just for music but requires plex pass leads me to believe this is totally intentional behavior. Prove me wrong, Plex… this is just pathetic.
