Android Home Screen is not rendering, shows a refresh symbol instead

Android App on Huawei P30 Pro had the issue where the home screen just shows a refresh symbol and no content.
My previously playing music was present, when I closed it down because I saw something was wrong I could not get back to it.
I followed the instructions to reset the Home screen (using the 3 dots). Did this and got my menu back, can now access content. but my home screen still just shows the yellow/orange refresh symbol.
It has been like this for a few days now and possibly a long time before.

The yellow refresh symbol is the same one the appears while screens are loading, For example same as the one when selecting Users and Sharing

Not fixed but found a away to make it go away.
As well as the 3 dot then reset all customisations (assume that was meant to do what I am about to describe).

As well as that, I went to settings, then Experience, then Application Layout, I changed it to TV.
It prompted me that the application wpould restart, I choose yes, when it restarted, and I touched the screen, it warned me that TV mode is not touch capable do I want to switch back to mobile
I chose SWITCH TO MOBILE
BACK TO NORMAL.

But gotta say, how did the devs let that happen.

OK, so today after getting it back to normal yesterday (to be clear yesterday was not a fix).

I was listening to music and it just stopped mid song.
Seems like Pex cannot handle music. Lots of articles about plex does not do music very well.

Music stopped but also the App home and app menu died again lost all their settings.

reset All customisations brought back the menu items and gave me back access but it did not repair the Home Screen. Not going to repair home screen, just gonna see how it goes for a day or 2.

  1. Music just stopped again, and the track time went back to 0.
    So it lasted 20min since I last start playing.
    when I logged in a gain the home screen was back also.

This is crap!
