Firstly too many subjects on Plex to help me narrow down finding a resolution to my current issue. I have a Plex server on an Nvidia Sheild. My media is on a WD My cloud and I have a plex android app on my Samsung Galaxy.J5. All connect through home network. J5 is running android 6.0.1… When I download an app like MX Player or BS player the Plex app will allow the use of these players but only for 1 or 2 movies when the app has been newly downloaded to phone. However it then refuses to play the movies on the external player saying cant play mkv file. There’s nothing wrong with the players I use them with Bubble UPnP on same home network by-passing plex. The internal player on plex app works fine but Im stuck with a letter box film with no option to zoom or fill the screen of the phone. Plex’s player seems to be the google exoplayer which has the capacity to have functions added to it like zoom so why are plex dragging their heels on this subject. Forum seems to be full of these issues. Please don’t ask me to provide logs or anything i wouldnt know how. I just want plug and play
I have a similar problem On new Plex 7.7 for android I accidentally chose always when I chose the default external player and now I cannot go back to have to option to chose one from the list as before. I tried to uninstall but it remembers the last choice so I am stuck. Please let me know how do I reset the choice of external video players for Plex.
