Same issue here. Various files/formats with the latest production Plex client on nvidia shield.
When this happens, rewinding will actually fast forward. The only solution is to stop the episode, resume, then rewind.
I am also experiencing this issue on a new Nvidia Shield Pro 2021.
I also see frequent freezes but after stopping and restarting the video, it works.

I’m having the same issue. Server is always running off of the latest docker image. This playback issue resulting in skips only ever occurs on my Nvidia Shield Pro 2019 client and has been happening for the past 3-4 months at a minimum. In my experience, this happens more often for direct played and streamed videos but it has occasionally happened with transcoded videos as well.
I noticed for the video I was direct streaming on 12/5/21 between 18:19-18:42, there were the following error message a few times.

I’m sorry just have not been able to reproduce this at all.
Can you suggest another way of getting this problem fixed please.
What do you need: more information, data, steps to recreate etc?
Is it only files encoded with AVC that are having issue for you?
Going to be honest with you mate, this has gone on for so long that I don’t care enough to keep investigating.
Feel free to close the thread or have one of the other affected users take over.
