Android tablet – Bluetooth mouse cannot interact with progress bar / playback controls in player (touch works fine)

Hi,
I’m experiencing an issue with mouse input in the Plex Android app on my tablet.
Device details:
Tablet: Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G (model SM-X216B)
Mouse: Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse 3600 (Bluetooth connection)
Plex app version: 2026.14.1
Android version: One UI (latest available for this tablet)
Problem description:
When watching a video in the Plex app, I cannot use the Bluetooth mouse to interact with the playback controls:
Clicking on the progress/seek bar does nothing – it does not allow me to scrub or jump to a different position.
Clicking the pause / play button with the mouse also does not work.
The on-screen controls often do not appear at all when using the mouse cursor.
However:
Using my finger (touch) works completely normally – I can easily bring up the controls, scrub the progress bar, pause, etc.
The same Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse 3600 works perfectly in other video apps on the same tablet (YouTube works especially well – a single click brings up the progress bar and all controls respond correctly).
I have already tried:
Clearing the Plex app cache
Restarting the tablet
Re-pairing the mouse
Moving the cursor around the bottom of the screen and clicking multiple times
None of these resolved the issue.
It seems the Plex player is not properly handling mouse/pointer click events for the progress bar and playback controls, even though basic cursor movement works and touch input is fine. This makes using a mouse quite frustrating for seeking and controlling playback.
Is this a known limitation/bug with the current Android player, or is there any setting I might have missed?
Happy to provide logs if needed.
