Even though it wasn’t mentioned in the beta release announcement, I’m now seeing a grid view for live TV listings on my Shield! Two nice-to-have’s though: the app accept digit key inputs from remotes that supply them (like the harmony hub remotes) so you can quickly jump to a channel in the grid view, and a way to access the grid while playing a live channel. The latter will be helpful for the mindless lazy sunday channel surfing of days gone by. To that point, I noticed last night when watching a live channel, I tried to change to a different channel using the “All Channels” row at the bottom of the live TV playback interface, and the player just hung. I’m going to reproduce it tonight and gather some logs to post as a bug report topic, but was just curious if anyone else has seen this before. It’s been present for me for a long time, but it’s something I hardly ever do, so I never got around to reporting it, figuring it would eventually get fixed in an app update.
