There’s a number of issues with random sort in libraries that have persisted for months. For example, right now if you sort randomly, click on a movie, and then go back, the app crashes. If you sort randomly, change the sort to something else (e.g. sort by title), and go back, your cursor position will jump all the way to the top of the list rather than returning to where it was before clicking on a title (this effect persists until you restart the app). Prior to the app crashing with random sort, it used to be that the random seed would be regenerated when going back from a movie, which meant that anytime you looked at a movie the sort would be rerandomized and you’d have to start from the beginning again.
I use random sort a lot so it’s really frustrating the experience is consistently broken on Android TV (via Nvidia shield).
