I don’t know how to get the version numbers from the player so i don’t have them. The issue i have is about the design of the interface. The text is too small for individuals that have trouble seeing the screen and before you say my tv is too small the interface should be intuitive enough to adjust for the size of the tv itself so it should appear fine at 32 inch vs 65 inch. Personally I have a 65 inch and have to get close to the screen on my nvidia shield to even read the descriptions. You may wish to provide people with a way to increase the font sizes in the interface so they may be able to improve the experience.
The second option I would add would be outlines to the selection. On the new interface you made it so that the selected item pops out. I would add an option for an additional outline so that people with vision difficulties may be able to tell which item is actually selected. I have two aging parents who use plex for their shows and both are getting very upset when they land on the wrong show or wrong episode. This causes them to bug the hell out of me to fix it.
Before people start complaining about your company not bothering helping people like this think of it this way. One day you will be older and your eyes won’t be the best anymore. Why eliminate an entire age group of customers if you can make a few minor adjustments to allow for accessibility options to increase customer satisfaction.
I may not be a subscriber for the plex pass yet but i am waiting for them to give an option to allow us to watch more than 4 episodes at a time before stopping. I need this feature for many reasons and have seen many others that want this feature as well. Unfortunately it’s been over 4 years and still this feature is being overlooked. That is why i’m not a subscriber yet.
