I have an issue where an episode is showing in the wrong season.
The library is using the Plex TV Series for Scanner and Agent.
The file names are all formatted the same automatically via Sonarr.
in plex, episode 8 is showing as S07E08 instead of S01E08
My first guess would be that one of your files has embedded metadata which is messing things up. Do you have Prefer local metadata enabled ? If so try and disable it and force a refresh of the show.
If not then the other thing that could be happening is that S01E08 of that show only aired today and it might take plex a day or two to get its updates for it.
Also – double check the show is matched correctly. Just in case its not.

Okay, then unless anyone else has a suggestion I’d suggest waiting 24-48 hours and see if it sorts itself out. Your server will refresh the metadata for the show during maintenance but you can force a refresh as well. Plex cache just may not have caught up yet.
