I have added a TV Show with 30 seasons , but two seasons dont show at all , witch is strange they are tagged the same way , and is the same file format as the rest. reading access is good. what more can it be ?
Thanks for answer
Server Version#: cant find the version no. but its the latest , just updated
Player Version#:
The name on its own appears to be ok.
Are the episodes organized like this?
TV Shows <- the folder linked to your tv-show library
Show Name
Season XX
Show Name - sXXeYY - optional stuff, e.g. episode name.ext
Show Name - sXXeYY.ext
Where XX is the season number, YY is the episode number and .ext is the file extension (e.g. .mp4, .mkv).
Given the files are in the same volume/share I suppose there should be no permission issue.
Are those mp4/m4v files with embedded metadata that could override the show name during matching (e.g. if you have prioritized the Local Media Assets over any online sources → see Settings > [Server Name] > Agents > ...).
Are there any MP4 files with embedded Title information ?
(I do see you said you have MKV files)
PMS will read the internal title and, if it’s not clean, can often cause it not to match
This might be a case where you need to Bounce the entire series, Scan files, empty trash , clean bundles, then – when all that’s done, move it back and let it match fresh.
I moved the folder of season 16 out of the series , emtyed trash , rescanned , moved the folder back again , rescaned… wasn’t it that i was suposed to do ?
@JuiceWSA Your solution hit the nail on the head. I’m having a similar issue with my TV Library on a FreeNAS PMS. Could you please take a looking at my issue and give me your thoughts? TV Show metadata not updating on FreeNAS PMS
