I think that this was already discussed but i cant refind the right topic.
My question is, what agent and scanner do i need to use to get my anime collection showing up right under plex? Episode description and the right ordering for seasons. Its for Naruto, one piece, dragonball and fairy tail.

use “absolute series scanner” and HTTP AniDB Metadata Agent (HAMA).
it supports both anibb and tvdb numbering.
Other agents (AniDB and Myanimelist) to my knowledge don’t put episode summaries

Hey mate. I installed ASS + HAMA but none of my shows are now being detected, for example: /TV Shows (Anime)/Berserk/[Yellow-Flash]Berserk_01[720p][BF19FA70].mkv is not being detected.
The scanner is detected by plex and I selected it for the new library, what am I doing wrong?
“what am I doing wrong?”: no logs, no link to what version you used
It is a scanner issue if no file or serie are showing… In this case gather the media scanner log which may have an error and the custom scanner log and library filelist generated by my scanner needed

Was running into an issue I was wondering anyone might be able to assist with:
Essentially what is happening is that for every anime series in my library episode titles / info is not populating correctly - EXCEPT for the first episode (everything else is just “episode 2” “episode 3” etc).
Here are a few relevant screenshots - any insight into whether this could be related to my folder structure or whether there is something else I might be missing would be incredibly useful.

well if episode 2 is indeed episode 2 then the scanner and naming is fine. need agent logs
