It looks like plex will eventually stop giving episode title and description.
Looking around it look like i need to find a absolute agent or scanner but the post a old and the link dont work.
I am also not much of an IT person, so would like to find something that will work and is simple to use.
Does anyone have any suggestion on getting plex to display episode title and description?
“It looks like plex will eventually stop giving episode title and description”: it look like you are giving a vague statement, furthermore the metadata source and agent are the one to give the episode title and description, although my absolute series scanner (suport season numbering too) can give the episode title until the metadata agent writes it over (unlike the original scanner)
For absolute series scanner, you have ASS (link in my signature which replaces BABS) and BABS
For episode data and description, you need an agent which will use a metadata source (thetvdb, themovie db, anidb, animelist). Mine use tvdb and anidb.
What scanner and agent did you select for your library ?
What are you scanning? absolute numbering or season episodes?
What type of series, anime or tv shows, reality shows, sports? thetvdb.com doesn’t do sports for example or adult stuff for exemple…
It look like you made no efforts to give the information needed to have a proper answer (scanner, agent used, serie or episodes not getting episode titles and description)…
