Annoyance with cursor when using alt-tab on Windows

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start playing a video in Plex
  2. Let the controls hide themselves by not moving the mouse
  3. Alt-tab to another application
  4. Move the mouse in the other application
  5. Alt-tab back to Plex

You will observe the mouse cursor doesn’t disappear, it stays wherever you left it with the pointing cursor icon. Any way you can make it hide itself? This works correctly if you alt-tab out of Plex and back without moving the mouse in between. Or else you have to jiggle the mouse and let the controls appear, then disappear, to get rid of the annoying cursor.
