I have tried to migrate my server from Ubuntu 18.04 on one machine to Ubuntu Server 20.04 At this point I dont care about any preferences. Just would like to get it back up and running. The new server is running headless and I have tried to do ssh username@ip_of_server -L 32400:ip_of_server:32400 -N and login using localhost. It does the same every time I login to my account but no prompt to add a server. I have deleted the docker container, image, volumes, and rebuilt to no avail. I’ve tried deleting /docker/plexms/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Preferences.xml and even copying them to no avail. Any other ideas?
Anyone? Still no change.
I’m adding this for posterity. I finally figured out that my claim token was not getting passed during build because it had double quotes around it. If anyone else has a similar issue check your docker-compose.yml and if the PLEX_CLAIM="<claimToken>" has the double quotes remove them so it looks like PLEX_CLAIM=<claimToken>.
