Hello there,
I’m struggeling with that quite a while.
I’m located in germany and its not possible for me to get an native ipv4-address from my provider anymore so plex can’t publish itself. So I set up an ipv6-ipv4 portmapper by feste-ip.net and configured the dyndns provider ddnss.de and deployed a custom access url in plex.
When I open my custom access url from outside my local network, I get only a indirect-connection to my server. So everything is relayed by the plex servers and limited to 720p with 2mbps and I cant use xbox/ps4 or native-tv apps to connect remotely.
my tests:
using www.ipv6scanner.com to check ports:
ipv6 MYDOMAIN.ddnss.de port 32400 -> OPEN
ipv4 MYDOMAIN.feste-ip.net port 32400 -> OPEN
compared ipv6 addresses shown at www.ipv6scanner.com with my servers one -> CHECK
allowed dns rebinding on my LEDE router: uci add_list dhcp.@dnsmasq[-1].rebind_domain=plex.direct -> CHECK
(Mon Apr 9 16:19:18 2018 daemon.warn dnsmasq[1393]: possible DNS-rebind attack detected: 192-168-2-100.XXXXXXXXXXXXX.plex.direct messages in log disappeared)
custom access-url: http://MYDOMAIN.feste-ip.net:32400/web
-> I tried https://, with and without /web and the ipv6 one (ddnss.de) and all together
I also tried to deactivate remote access to prevent plex from relaying my server because it should be reachable from outside, but that doesnt work as well, it loads the plex webinterface but shows that no server were found or reachable.
Can someone give me a hint?
Thanks in advance,
