It would be so cool if an apple watch app was made available as part of the IOS plex Client.
It should be a very basic client that only really supports controlling players and for plex pass members supports offline Sync of music media for untethered listening (no phone) while running/walking. No video is needed as I doubt anyone would watch content on the watch.
That would make it the first app for all apple watch users to make it easy to use untethered music on the watch. (Today it’s only possible by sync from itunes… completely hopeless)
Apple Watch has been out for awhile now, there have been numerous request to make it happen yet no Plex member response.
As you mention they should at least provide it to Plex Pass Members.
I agree. I’m really surprised this hasn’t been released. The one thing keeping Plex from being my sole media player is lack of Apple Watch support for Music. It could also be a great remote for video. Definitely would get them more Plex Pass purchases…
The biggest reason I would like to see a Plex client for the watch is the ability to sync music to the watch for workouts. I do this with Overcast for podcasts and it is fantastic.
