Any comparable option?

Hello you beautiful people.

 

I was wondering it anyone knows of a solution to this? I was an XBMC user on an Apple TV1 thanks to the FireCore hack, and from that I had two really handy options.

 

Because of the XBMC, if I was ever on Youtube, I had a Google Chrome extension (http://goo.gl/4g0AZj) which added a Send to XBMC option (you had to have the Youtube app installed on the XBMC for this to work mind you), and could watch it on the TV instead. Additionally, the XBMC folks produced a remote control app, and on Android that gave you sharing options to beam it to the XBMC machine, and watch it on the TV instead.

 

So, with my Apple TV3 having a pseudo "client" now with PlexConnect, is there a solution similar in this type of Plex ecosystem?

There is a chrome extension that does much the same, using the MyPlex Queue. No links, as I’m on my iPad currently, but I use it frequently.


If you use any of the Plex mobile apps, they all contain remote features, including “Play On…” Support.


Example, go to YouTube, click plex button, save video to queue. Open phone, press and hold on new video in queue, select Play On Apple TV.


That’s what you wanted, right?

So how do I get Apple TV3 with it's PlexConnect "client" to be one of the devices to play the media on that is in my queue?
