Any issues when adding a VPN to existing Windows Plex installs?

Hello all,
I have installed a VPN on all my devices but for my HTPC running Plex, and was wondering if any of you had run into issues (logging in, viewing, etc.) after installing one. My VPN has split tunneling abilities, but turns off the connection fail-safe should the VPN connection fail, so I’d rather not use it if avoidable. All of my other devices stream Plex remotely just fine, but I figure the server will see a logon from a different IP and prevent the connection (logging into the server locally).
