Any way to exclude Live Albums from "Popular Tracks" listing?

Googled, and couldn’t find an answer… any help is appreciated!!! This may be a little weird or esoteric, but here we go…

I love the “Popular Tracks” list that provided for Music artists in the iOS and Web apps… really great for new or unfamiliar artists, artists I haven’t listened to in a while, or artists who don’t have a good greatest hits album…

When pulling tracks from your library, the “Popular Tracks” feature seems favor albums with a collection of the popular songs? Like if you have multiple versions of a song -on a studio album, a single, a greatest hits album, or a live album, it seems to favor the greatest hits or live albums.

Fine. But I’d prefer it pull from a studio or greatest hits version of the track -instead of the live albums. Is there any way to do this? Exclude “live” from albums titles included in the “Popular Tracks” list? Or exclude a genre tag from the list -all my live albums include “Live Albums” as a genre tag…

Weird question/complaint. I know… THANKS for any help!

I would love to know this too! I’ve considered moving all my live albums to a different music library (having two music libraries, one for studio and one for live).

The technical issue seems to be that Plex looks for songs from Last FM’s popular listing in ascending order:

New Album Fakies (2018)
– Preview on Drive Street - The Fakies

Live (2017)
– Love me Tender (Live) - The Fakies
– Preview on Drive Street - The Fakies

Fakies Studio Album (2014)
– Love me Tender - The Fakies
– Other Classic Hits - The Fakies

Such that if you take the discography above, it will play the live version of Love me Tender, but Preview on Drive Street will be the studio version.

Edit: without the help of Plex Employees, the solution would be to falsify the year of the live albums (so they are sorted to the bottom), or to move all live albums to their own music library.

Thanks! I’ll try falsifying the album years…
