I'm working on something a little similar to plex export, where you run a program that generates a static site that displays information about your plex library. The reason I'm doing this is because plex export is no longer being maintained and I have a few ideas for improvements and new features. These include multiple server support, simple one off configuration for the script, a larger interface with a slide away nav, a full featured stats page (likely making use of chart.js), and trailer support. I have worked on a little mockup in the last few days, as shown below
The reason I'm asking for help is because I am quite frankly terrible at design, and it takes me a long time to write CSS that does what I want. The programming side is my strength, and I was hoping someone here would be interested in making this a reality with me. I might possibly do this on my own, but it will take a far longer amount of time.
I dare say I would like to have a shot, haven't done Web Dev for a little while and would like to get back into it. I have very good knowledge in terms of design/CSS and very strong knowledge in Bootstrap (don't ask, someone wanted to learn it so I learnt it to teach them) but struggled a little with the coding part, i can manipulate it but not create it. I have re-developed the PlexWatch/Web created by eleese and run that myself to monitor a lot of activity on my server. I work a fair amount though so would like to see if you have any extra designs or what you require, and hopefully go from there and see if i am suitable and chat a bit more about it
Hi Anton1357. Well I was rather hoping design would be more your forte, as I'm rather awful at design. I do have in mind how it will roughly look, so if you wish to discuss it more then please PM me.
Not sure if you found someone to help, but if you didn't, I am keen. I have been a web designer/developer for over 16 years, and I am pretty good at design and especially CSS
I have been looking for a good project to further my web design skills. I would be interested to assist with your front-end web development. I can probably do anything needed in HTML/CSS/JQuery, I am currently learning Angular.JS which could help make this work more like an app with a single page rather than a website with multiple pages. If you don't mind me moving slowly, I could attempt this in Angular as well. This actually shouldn't be too bad if we retrieve the library as a JSON object with all the proper information. Then we can loop through the object to display each item.
I’m afraid I’m no longer involved in this project, sorry. But if you guys are interested I can stick up what I’d coded up on GitHub to do whatever you want with?
Hi, im a .net web developer and have actually created a graphics package for the company i work for using chart.js v2 if you were still interested in doing something. Sounds like a fun project.
