I have been using the plexapi binding for quite a while now, however one thing that Id like to implement is editing/modifying the air date for videos. (Because of the personal video library format I cant rely on web sources to set this info) Is there an easy way or documentation for using the plex API for this?
That’s not available in the Plex API. I’d like it too.
(I’m certain it would be added to the Python bindings if it became available in Plex.)

Think there is a bit of confusion, Im not looking to edit the added_at field, rather the episode air date.
Since my related but separate post was locked Air date for episodes , If this info cant be modified via the API what metadata field in the file should be set for plex to extract it?
No confusion. I’m suggesting that it’s a very similar request. Dates via API.
Do you mean the “Originally Available” date that you can edit from Plex Web?
