"API rate limit exceeded" When Getting Certificate

@pmsoares

I have reset your certificate.

I also recommend updating to PMS 1.22.3.4523-d0ce30438 (Public)
which addresses this issue.

You may restart the server.

Thanks. That seemed to fix it for a couple of days but I’m afraid I’m now experiencing the same issue again. I’ve just upgraded to 1.22.3.4523. Will it need to be reset again now I’ve upgraded?

Also I have been able to access the server remotely through the plex apps (android and windows) but cannot connect securely using the web app.

Here’s a recent log file if that can help.

Plex Media Server.5.log (294.5 KB)

@leo632

Please upgrade PMS to address the cert issue as I indicated above.

I will reset your certificate

Thanks for the quick response! Looks like it’s working again now.

@leo632

Don’t forget to upgrade the software else it will happen again.

Hi @ChuckPa
Thank you for the quick response.
However, I have the latest beta version (1.23.0.4497).
But for now, I think the problem is solved, as the logs do not show any of these errors.

@pmsoares

You dont want the beta. You want Public.

Beta will get this update but, for now, the Cert issue is only fixed in Public (HotFix)

@ChuckPa

Done.
Changed version to Public (1.22.3.4523)

Thank you!

Unfortunately I am getting an “error code=“1003” message=“API rate limit exceeded”” error in the logs. Plex has been crashing on my QNAP so I was checking the logs and see this.

Many thanks

Mark

@docbot1

Are you using PMS 1.22.3.4523 ?

If so, may I have the DEBUG logs ZIP file which captures this?

Thanks ChuckPa. I am using version 1.23.0. Will dig out the logs shortly.

@docbot1

1.23.0 does not yet have the API hot-fix which exists in 1.22.3.4523 (Public)
I recommend switching (trying) 1.22.3.4523

I will reset your certificate if needed.

I though that 1.23.0 is the latest. Is that not the case. I will try to downgrade to the version you suggest. Many thanks

Sorry, I’m having trouble finding 1.22.3.4523. Could you please point me in the right direction. Many thanks

Turn off the PlexPass button. It is a hotfix to Public :slight_smile:

1.22.3.4523-d0ce30438

Thank you

Just checked. Even if I turn off plex pass I still only get 1.23.0

Ok, just tried another browser - now I can download 1.22

Hi, is there still an issue with this on v1.22.3.4523?
I had to clear my cache folder and I am running “v1.22.3.4523-d0ce30438” but I can’t get a cert now. Is there something else I need to do?

ERROR - CERT: Error acquiring new certificate: Failed to upload CSR: 429, <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

@nzdavid7

Certificate reset. You may restart the server.

It was still stuck from the previous instance.
