"API rate limit exceeded" When Getting Certificate

@ChuckPa Thank you very much, that is working again now.

@ChuckPa
Getting the same error on my server

CERT: Error acquiring new certificate: Failed to upload CSR: 429, <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

@pthorpe1

I have reset Destroyer

Please be certain to update to the new hotfix Public release which addresses this problem as well as restart the server.

Thanks, that fixed the Issue for downloading the cert, but now I am running into other problems.

@pthorpe1

I can’t help with Windows. What you’re seeing is a Windows error.

(You’re in a Linux thread :wink:

I’m getting the API rate limit error too.
I’m on Version 1.22.3.4523.

CERT: Error acquiring new certificate: Failed to upload CSR: 429, <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <errors> <error code="1003" message="API rate limit exceeded"/> </errors>

@kaares

Whatever you were doing on May 14th caused several new Certificate generation requests. This is not normal.

I have reset your certificate for “Sentry”. The others were ok.

Please be more careful in the future.

Hi,

I also have problems while generating the certificate :

<errors>
  <error code="1003" message="API rate limit exceeded"/>
</errors>

I have shutdown Plex on my “store01” server. Hope that will help a bit.

@vvanholl

I’ve reset your certificate.
You may start the server now.

@discobot247

Did you resolve the issue or is a reset needed for a specific server?

@ChuckPa

The issue was resolved by a certificate reset by BigWheel on a separate thread about this certificate issue. Thanks so much for the followup!

Hi been having the same API problem, server is Quasimodo thank you!

@wateraj01

Check your PM.

I’m getting the same certificate error. Can you reset my certificate?

@jreeder

Certificate reset. You may restart the server.

I seem to be having this as well on my “MythNAS” device. Can someone lend a hand here?

@d0ct0rvenkman

Cert reset. you may restart the server.

I’m not hitting the rate limit anymore, but the cert still doesn’t seem to be updating. Is there a FAQ/help entry somewhere I can reference about how to get the cert to update?

I’ve been experiencing crashes on one of my PMS devices since I upgraded to 1.23.2.4625 this morning and the API rate limiting is the only thing that stands out in the logs.

Show me your logs ZIP please?

(capturing as much/many of the startup problems as you can)
