App crashing on second song when Shuffle is used

I thought it would be so easy to shuffle play music on my Xbox with Plex, but it crashes as soon as the second song comes on. I just spent 3 hours going back and forth to try to get Plex to stream my media, and I can’t even do such a simple thing as play a shuffled playlist of my music. Please fix this. it’s a known issue and a fix is in the works. an update should be out soon

Hey Moussa never used this site before don’t know how to PM you! My Xbox one is not connecting to my buddies server used to before but now it doesn’t. Works on my phone but not my Xbox. Any suggestions?

Good job! Congratulations! Plex on my Xbox now plays large playlists, and can shuffle them. Don’t congratulate yourselves too much, however. Always be trying to IMPROVE!

While I AM indeed grateful that Plex can shuffle my huge playlists on my Xbox, there is a bit of a problem: the random number generator. Yes, that’s right. Someone has decided to use a deterministic random number generator instead of a QRNG. This means that we will get weird things happening…like the same artist playing 5 times in a row (in a list of thousands of artists). Then it will bounce back and forth between artists who are adjacent to each other in the alphabet…like U2 and Tom Waits. I listened to 15 straight songs by these artists, even though I have tons of artists in my collection. Thank you, PLEX! I do like these artists.

However, a little TRUE randomization with a QRNG is the WAY FORWARD into a bright and shining path of heavenly multimedia steps! I know you can do it!
