App.plex.tv is unable to connect to “SERVERNAME” securely

I recently upgraded my synology DS216play to DSM 7.0.

  • After installing DSM7.0, I manually installed Plex Media Server following this blog post

  • After installing Plex Media Server, Plex Media Server will not connect (after launching Plex from DSM 7.0).

  • I signed in to Plex.tv, however Plex cannot connect to my synology NAS through the Plex web app.

  • I receive an error message stating: “Unable to connect to “SERVERNAME” securely.”

Other than that, I haven’t made any other changes to settings. Logs have been attached to this post. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,

I’ve attempted to un-claim my server and re-installed Plex using a Plex Claim Token.

Unfortunately, this has not worked for me.

Do you have any other suggestions?

I Updated to 1.23.6.4863 synology 7 nas
but when I open the app from desktop I get this


if I change it to unsecured it opens but it was working fine 2 days ago

I think I figured out what you were referring to:

I run a VPN (from NordVPN) on my NAS, “10.8.0.5”. Disconnecting my VPN connection doesn’t seem to change anything.

I’ve repeated your steps with my VPN disconnected. Unfortunately, even with my VPN disconnected, the issue still remains. I’ve attached recent logs to this post.

I’ve tried opening Plex through my browser (chrome), and also an alternative browser (safari). Still no change.

Thank you for your help, I will continue troubleshooting.

I rebooted the router ,nas is on same network as router
uninstalled plex and reinstalled per instructions
