Hi all,
I moved to a new house and changed my ISP for BT broadband in the UK.
Since then I have been unable to access PMS running from my shield with the error below:
app.plex.tv is unable to connect to “SHIELD Android TV” securely
This error is provided from the web interface with a browser running on the same LAN than the Shield. The Shield client cannot access the server either with the error below:
SHIELD Android TV is currently unavailable
Reading the article “secure server article” did not provide much help and I am quite confused with what could be wrong in my setup.
I have tried to to uninstall both Plex client and PMS and reinstall everything without any success.
I am attaching PMS logs to this thread.
There a a few exceptions but they don’t make much sense to me.
Could someone please help?
@TedKWoB Those looks like they are just the logs from the plugin subfolder. There should be a Plex Media Server.log ( 6 of them actually) in the logs folder
@BigWheel , yes I did have more than one shiel server listed as I tried multiple time to create it.
I have just done the following to try again “from a fresh install”:
-Uninstall Plex client and Server from the shield
-Remove the \internal\Plex Media Server from the shield
-Reinstall Plex client and Server on the Shield
I also tried to install PMS from my Windows on the same network and it does work without any security error. Something has to be wrong with the Shield but I don’t know what…
@BigWheel Thank you, issue is now fixed.
I don’t understand why but once I went through the direct URL you provided and answered a few questions about PMS customisation and it all started to work again, even through app.plex.tv.
