I have “Lock to landscape” disabled in Plex, and “Portrait Orientation Lock” enabled on my phone. If I exit the app, when I return and first play a video, it shows the “rotation” animation as though it was switching to Landscape. But then it plays in Portrait.

It only became minimally viable once very common codecs like EAC3 were finally patched to work around January. We are only ~4-5months past minimal viability. There still have been some up and down regressions even since then. Strategically July makes the most sense for them to be targeting.
